We will shortly begin pre-production of Machiavelli: An Exploration, explicitly harnessing a wealth of expert insights to produce a comprehensive portrait of Niccolò Machiavelli from a wide variety of overlapping perspectives.
This Exploration will be divided into three sections:
- Life and Times: A presentation of Machiavelli’s world of late 15th- and early 16th-century Florence and his role in it.
- Works: A discussion of all of Machiavelli’s works, not only his major political and historical works, but also his plays, poems and stories, in order to comprehensively reveal the man and his motivations.
- Legacy: An analysis of Machiavelli’s complicated legacy over the last 500 years, from the early copies of The Prince that began to circulate shortly after he wrote it to the present day.
Release date: while the coronavirus pandemic has naturally made it particularly difficult to predict completion times for any project, we are aiming to release this Exploration in mid-2022.
