Ideas Roadshow’s IBDP Portal is an award-winning database of authoritative, engaging video resources explicitly created to meet the needs of both teachers and students in the IB Diploma Programme. More than 80 top researchers, including 3 Nobel Laureates, at prestigious universities around the world have participated in our effort to connect students with the fascinating world of research to help them succeed in the DP and gain acceptance in a top-level university.

This digital platform provides a strong pedagogical framework through a user-friendly interface offering access to a unique collection of fully-accessible videos in different formats plus helpful supporting materials for TOK, to integrate TOK across the DP curriculum, for Extended Essays and other research projects plus motivational and curriculum-related resources across 21 DP subjects.

Ideas Roadshow’s IBDP Portal offers the following resources:
I. Theory of Knowledge: A wide range of “TOK in Action” videos highlight the real-world relevance of Theory of Knowledge in today’s research by tangibly demonstrating how TOK-related thinking is integral to successful problem-solving and gaining knowledge. There are videos in different formats, including TOK Clips, TOK Samplers and TOK Essay Practice Videos. Each video comes with an accompanying worksheet and there is also a detailed TOK Lesson Planner for teachers.
II. TOK Integration across 21 DP Subjects: TOK is the backbone of interdisciplinarity throughout all resources which makes it easy to integrate TOK across other DP subjects. Teachers can use clips from the TOK Connections Overview Videos or TOK Samplers to easily incorporate TOK into their lessons. There are also TOK Connections Guides for 21 DP subjects with lots of additional suggested resources that are part of our database. Finally, the last question for discussion on the worksheets that come with all videos is always a Knowledge Question to offer another tool to highlight the relevance of TOK.
III. Extended Essay/Internal Assessment: Students have access to a wide spectrum of engaging videos across 21 DP subjects plus accompanying print materials and eBooks to pique their curiosity and build a successful Extended Essay. Ideas Roadshow’s Extended Essay Guide has been specifically created for students with specific suggestions for 21 DP subjects to start their research investigations plus lots of helpful tips and ideas. Students also have access to a series of E x t e n d i n g Ideas Videos which offer additional interest-piquing ideas in video form plus eBooks and instructional videos.
IV. Curriculum-aligned & motivational resources for 21 DP subjects: Subject teachers will be delighted to have access to a large collection of ready-to-use videos plus supporting materials to build engaging lessons. In addition, the database offers videos on how to improve teaching history, psychology, physics and other subjects plus a range of videos highlighting how top researchers were inspired by their teachers to follow their passions which led them to become the top experts in their chosen fields that they are today.
VII. NEW – Documentary films: We’ll soon start adding Ideas Roadshow’s documentary films to our database as well, including Pandemic Perspectives, Through the Mirror of Chess: A Cultural Exploration and Raphael: A Portrait. Those films will offer a wealth of supplementary materials for Extended Essays and other research projects!
